Article 1 - How we handle your information

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect personal information from you, such as your name, address and email address. To verify and protect your identity, we use Signifyd, a third party, 100% private, secure, fraud checking platform.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address to help us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): Only with your permission, we will send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Article 2 - Consent

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, you consent to our collecting it.

If you provide us with your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How to withdraw consent

If after you participate, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to continue to contact you and to continue to collect, use or disclose your information by contacting us at any time.

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Article 4 - Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases and the Shopify application. Your data is stored on secure servers behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only for the duration of your purchase transaction. Once complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways are managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. They adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS, which is the result of a joint effort between brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure that our store and its service providers handle credit card information securely.

Article 5 - Third Party Services

In general, the third-party suppliers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect of the information required for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand how your personal information will be handled.

In particular, remember that some suppliers may be located or have facilities located in a different jurisdiction than you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction through a third-party service, then your information will become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are directed to a third-party service website or application, you are no longer governed by the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service of the Marsant's X website.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand who visits our site and what pages they view.

Article 6 - Safety

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

When you provide us with your credit card information, we store it using secure socket layer technology (SSL) with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and have implemented industry standards.

Article 7 - Cookies

Below is a list of the cookies we use, listed here so you can choose whether or not to accept them.

_session_id: Unique token, sessional, allows Shopify to store information about your session (source, landing page, etc.).

_shopify_visit: No data stored, persistent for 30 minutes from your last visit, used by our website provider's internal statistics tracker to record the number of visits.

_shopify_uniq: does not store any data, expires at midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, calculates the number of times a customer has visited your store. cart: a unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, stores information about the contents of your shopping cart.

Article 8 - Age of consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Article 9 - Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Please review it regularly. Changes and clarifications will become effective when they are posted on the website. If there are any material changes to this policy, we will notify you here. We will let you know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances (if any) we use and disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

Information we collect

We collect information about you when you register on the website, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to communications such as surveys or e-mails, or participate in other website features. How we protect your information

How to opt-out, delete, or change the information you provide

To change your email subscriptions, please let us know by changing your preferences in the "My Account" section. Please note that due to email production schedules, you may receive emails that are already in production. To remove all of your online account information from our database, please log into the "My Account" section of our website and remove your shipping address, billing address, and payment information. Please note that we retain information about each individual sales transaction corresponding to that transaction for record-keeping purposes. We include third party links on our website to provide value to our customers. Third party linked sites have independent privacy policies and therefore we are not responsible for their content or activities. Nonetheless, we strive to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback regarding these linked sites (for example, if a specific link does not work). If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. Policy changes will only apply to information collected after the date of the change.
